Journal Prompt: What do I need to say no to?
Happy Monday, here is this week’s prompt:
What do I need to say ‘no’ to this week?
Recently there has been a lot going on in the world. Heck, not just recently but for quite a few years now.
But these past few weeks have been intense.
So, this week our prompt is going to help us focus on what we can say no to in order to help our own personal well-being.

You can start by creating a list of things you know that you need to not do. For example, you know you need to stay off social media.
After that I encourage you to take some extra time to uncover things that might not be immediately clear. To do this you can ask yourself the following questions:
- What drains my energy?
- What makes me stressed?
- What triggers overwhelm?
As you build this list, determine if you can say no. If you can’t then come up with a plan for how to adapt it so it is not as draining.
For example, does grocery shopping on Saturday drain you? Then can you do it Monday night? Or can you order online and pick it up? Can someone else do it for you?
Once you have a list of things you are going to say ‘no’ to, start letting people know and adjusting your schedule.
Throughout the week, in the morning you can do another check-in to see if anything on your schedule for that day is overwhelming. If it is, see if there is an adjustment you can make or cancel it!
Have a great week,
Andrea
P.S. Do you feel like you need to cancel everything? You might be emotionally overloaded. Check out this article on what you can do to overcome that.
