How to Align to Your True Self
What is your true self?
Your true self is who you came here to be and what you came to accomplish.
We all make plans before we come to earth that includes any soul lessons we want to learn, what our purpose will be and if there are any other things we want to do such as cleaning up old soul contracts.
This plan is the blueprint for your true self.
How Do You Uncover Your True Self?
The key to uncovering your true self blueprint is self-discovery. To know why you came here, and work towards living those plans you have to know yourself.
There are three main areas that will help with self-discovery:
- Personal development – this is everything from your habits, how you function to applying what you learn. As you work to function better, you learn more about yourself.
- Spiritual growth – this includes your spiritual practices and your connection to source and your spirit guides. I consider this spiritually connected living. Where your spiritual practices are integrated into your day – not just something you do one day a week.
- Healing – this is on all levels, including emotional, spiritual and energetic. As you heal you grow spiritually and are better able to function in your daily life. Plus, it shows you more about who you really are – not what others have told you!

The Process for Uncovering Your True Self
There are four main steps that you go through while uncovering your true self. These steps are a repetitive cycle that feed each other.
The steps are:
Observe/Awareness
In this step you are paying attention to what is going on in your life. Where you are stuck, where you may have unhealthy patterns, or what you are curious about. This is the step that feeds what you will work on.

Analyze
In this step you take what you have observed and determine what needs to change or what you need to do with the information.
This step can end up having many things impacting one observation. Few problems in life are one dimensional. You may have an issue in a relationship that involves the need to heal emotional wounds from childhood, deal with an old life contract and require you to reclaim your energy.
Heal
In this step you heal what you have determined needs to change.
Act
Finally, you take action to integrate everything. After you do the necessary healing work, you then need to change anything that was directly impacted by the healing work.
For example, if you removed a curse around money, you still need to change the habits you had because of that curse. You may need to budget differently, explore new income options or start investing more.
As you do this you begin to observe again – did what you want to change work? What could have been different? Did you uncover another issue under this one? This is where other problems tied to the same situation can be revealed. In our money example this could be as you start investing you realize you have limiting beliefs around wealth that need attention.
Final Notes on Finding Your True Self
This process takes time; it isn’t something to rush though. It has taken you years and lifetimes to become who you are. Learning the real you won’t happen in a week.
The best way to begin and start making progress is to pick one thing problem you would like to resolve. Use that as your point from exploration. Journal about it, meditate on it, chat with your guides about it – run it through the process above until you are comfortable with where it is. Then pick the next one.
