2 Simple Ways to See Your Problem Differently

I am stuck on a problem and can’t find a solution that works. How can I find the right solution for me?

I know the feeling, having ideas on how to solve a problem, but nothing that works or feels right.

When we stay stuck in the same problem-solving mode, we tend to recycle the same tired ideas, even when we know they aren’t working.

This week, I’m sharing two quick ways to gain a fresh perspective.

Look at the Bigger Picture

We often get bogged down in one small detail and lose sight of the whole. Try to view the issue from a broader perspective — much like a bird flying overhead sees a vast landscape, while an ant only sees the small patch of earth in front of it.

To overcome this, try one of these approaches:

Visualization

Imagine yourself as that bird, looking down at the situation from high above. If you need more guidance on how to do this, I do have a guided meditation that can help you.  You can find it on YouTube or Spiritual Insights with Andrea podcast episode 71.

Explain It to Someone Else

Ask yourself how you would describe the entire problem to a complete stranger. This can trigger you to remember aspects of the problem that you forgot about. It can also bring the solution almost instantly – talking out loud can bring insights that you can’t get through writing or thinking in your head.

If you don’t have anyone to work through it with, record yourself explaining it, then listen to it later.

Oracle or Tarot Card Journaling

I do this anytime I am stuck and know that I am not seeing it all – when I feel like there is a missing piece. How to do it:

  1. Grab a deck or two – I usually ask my guides which deck is the right one for this problem.
  2. Write down the problem you are stuck on.
  3. Pull a card – Read the guidebook excerpt, then close your eyes and ask which part of that message you should explore further. Start journaling on that specific point.
  4. Keep flowing – If you feel stuck again, pull another card.

I continue this process until I reach an “aha” moment or feel ready to let my subconscious take over.

Ultimately remember you don’t have to force the answer. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is hand the problem over to your subconscious and spirit guides. Allowing things to unfold without force will bring a clearer solution than one chosen from desperation.

Think of it like making soup: you can toss the ingredients in and heat them up, and it will taste fine. But if you let it simmer and give the flavors time to develop, it becomes something much better.

Try these tools this week, and allow the right answer to surface in its own time.
